Williamson heroes to be honored

Full Life Assembly of God will take time to honor some local heroes at a HOPE Award Service on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.  Featured guests include members of the local Williamson County Sheriff department, the Franklin Police department and the Franklin Fire department. A member of each department has been selected by their peers and commanders to receive recognition during this event. The following recipients will be presented with the HOPE Award: Corporal Keith Bennett/Williamson County Sheriff’s Department, Officer Clayton Cates/Franklin Police Department and Firefighter Rob Thomas/Franklin Fire Department.

The HOPE Award is a special recognition of emergency personnel who have excelled in their job and in some unique way have given hope to their community. “We wanted to find a way to say thank you to those who give of themselves in our local emergency service departments,” says the church’s Lead Pastor, Nick Serban III.

During the HOPE Award Service, donations will be made to charities chosen by each of the departments as another way to say thank you and to give hope to those in need. Charities will be selected by each recipient. Many local businesses have also contributed toward gift packages that will also be presented to the HOPE recipients totaling over $5,000.

Guests are welcome to attend this event. Come early for a good seat. Full Life Assembly of God is located directly across from the Franklin Post Office at 813 Oak Meadow Drive. It was formerly the Franklin Motor Sports Sales and Service Center.
